Old-time country music just doesn't get much younger than this, though the Peasall Sisters have practically become seasoned veterans over the five years since their childhood breakthrough on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. Sarah (now 18), Hannah (14), and Leah (12) may belong to a generation that has never known life without computers and cell phones, but they channel the inspiration of the Carter Family and conjure an era when some rural fans of the music didn't even have indoor plumbing. Though the results sometimes fail to distinguish between the timeless and the cloyingly quaint (the world hardly needs another version of the traditional "Angel Band" or A.P. Carter's "I Never Will Marry," especially renditions this mawkish), the spiritual material that opens and closes--the title track and the a cappella "Where No One Stands Alone"--finds the trio in truly transcendent harmony. It bodes well that what is arguably the best track here, "Gray County Line," is one of the album's three originals, while the production by John Carter Cash shows good ears as well as strong bloodlines. --Don McLeese (Amazon.com)

Who is Benny Benassi?

I am not scared to admit that I don't know who most of artist that we list are and what they sound like. Down to basics, I am a country boy and I can tell you everything you want to know about Country Music, George Strait and all of those outlaws.

But, I am going to start posting about some of the different artist that I see in our listings and share what I find out about them from the web.

Benny Benassi

Benny Benassi (born Marco Benassi on July 13, 1967)^[2] is a Grammy Award winning Italian disc jockey and producer of electro house music. He is best known for his 2002 summer club hit "Satisfaction". Benny Benassi ranks as the 12th most popular DJ in the world according to the TheDJList website^[3] and 32nd most popular DJ in the official 2007 global poll of DJ Magazine.^[4]

Released in 2003, the campy and quirky Hypnotica was Benassi's solo debut. At the end of 2004, he won the European Border Breakers Award for Hypnotica, which racked up the most sales for an Italian album outside of Italy. Benassi often works with vocalists Paul French and Violeta, who are collectively known as The Biz.

Benny then produced a group with cousin Alle, called Benassi Bros., a project designed to shine the spotlight on the two Biz vocalists, Paul French and Violeta and other guest singers. A year after the release of Hypnotica, Pumphonia marked their first full length release. And then in 2005, Benassi Bros. released their second album …Phobia.

Walter Trout (born 1951, Ocean City, New Jersey) is a blues guitarist, singer and songwriter of his own band.

Trout's career began on the Jersey coast scene of the late 60's and early 70's that jump started the career of artists like Bruce Springsteen. He then decided to relocate to Los Angeles where he became a sideman for such artists as Percy Mayfield and Deacon Jones. He also worked in the bands of John Lee Hooker and Joe Tex.

In 1981 be became the guitarist for blues rock band Canned Heat. This led to an invitation to play in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers where he shared the stage with guitarist Coco Montoya. He left the Bluesbreakers in 1989 and formed the Walter Trout Band which developed a successful following in Europe.

In 1994 the official Walter Trout Fan Club for the Netherlands and Belgium saw the light of day, followed in 1996 by the official international Fan Club who has members in 14 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. In 2006 the official international Fan club celebrated its tenth anniversary by giving Fan Club members an exclusive live CD recorded in Las Vegas which was the last performance of the late bass player, Jimmy Trapp who died in 2005.

In 1998 Trout released his self-titled US debut CD and renamed his band Walter Trout and the Free Radicals (later renamed Walter Trout and the Radicals and currently simply Walter Trout ). Since that time Trout has been recording and touring in North America, Europe and India.

In 2002, he featured on the Bo Diddley tribute album Hey Bo Diddley - A Tribute!, performing the song "Road Runner" and many more guest appearances on other recordings. See full details in the discography section of Walter's web site below.

ZYX Music Label

We get our Dance CDs from a label called ZYX Music. They are a great music label with lots of different music.

Here is what Wikipedia says:

ZYX Music is a German record label which was founded in 1971 by Bernhard Mikulski.

The company was called Pop-Import Bernhard Mikulski up to 1992, when it was renamed to ZYX Music. The label was specialized in disco and early house music. Founder Bernhard Mikulski is said to be the inventor of the term Italo Disco in the 1980s. Since the death of Bernhard, his wife Christa Mikulski took over in 1997.

ZYX Music is headquartered in Merenberg, Germany and has offices in the USA and several European countries. ZYX releases records in a number of different genres, including electronica, hip hop, funk, rock and pop. Noteworthy is that ZYX nowadays holds many rights from some legendary German Krautrock labels like Ohr, Pilz, and Kosmische Kuriere, and is also responsible for reissuing many albums from the free jazz/avant garde label ESP-Disk. Formerly, it held the manufacturing license for Fantasy Records in Europe, an arrangement which ceased at the end of 2005.

Techno music is very popular but you have to like it. Even though I sell it, I don't like it. Its not my type of music. I tell everyone, if it don't have a fiddle or steel guitar in it, then its probably not music!
